Project & Programme Evaluation

Many EU and government funded projects and programmes require an evaluation to be carried out as a condition of granting funding. Geonomics will identify if your project or programme is adhering to its objectives and achieving output targets. We focus on project and programme design, sustainability and ways in which, using lessons learnt, future programmes can be shaped to enhance economic impact.

  Geonomics Evaluation Process

  • Review of Objectives: What are the programme objectives and are they realistic and achievable?

  • Measuring Progress against Baseline and Output Targets: We would look at the performance of each project against target outputs and the reasons for any variations.

  • Interviews with Programme and Project Managers: Interviews would be to ascertain their views on performance and project strengths and weaknesses.

  • Stakeholder Interviews: We would talk to organisations involved in shaping and funding the programme and projects to determine their views on performance to date.

  • Interviews with Beneficiaries: Interviews would be conducted with a sample of people and organisations the project or projects were intended to help to see if they thought they had benefited.

  • Programme and Project Management: Discussions would be held with those responsible for the overall management of the programme. Views would be sought on performance to date and lessons to be learnt.

  • Report and Recommendations: Our report would assess overall performance and comment on project and programme strengths and weaknesses. Recommendations would be made for changing the design of future projects and programmes to enhance impact.
